Balto: A Wolf's Journey, Chapter 1
A brown-gray wolf-dog pushed a shack's wooden door open with his snout, a little trick he had used many times before. He turned his head towards the center of the shack to see a red husky laying in a basket bed. Upon hearing him, the husky smiled as she looked up. "Hello, Balto," she said in a happy yet tired voice.
Balto swallowed, his mouth feeling dry. A small terrier had found him and Boris, his goose friend, and told them the good news. Still, Balto felt nervous about seeing what he and the love of his life had created.
